Who are we?
We are a 501c3 organization with a goal of enhancing lives through a trauma-informed holistic lens. FT Fit Therapy wants to promote active life styles by coping through connections, fitness, recreation, and wellness activities.
Mission: Promote healthy lifestyle choices and coping through a trauma-informed and proactive lens by providing community resources to families in Sacramento County and Surrounding regions.
Vision: We want to ensure all no matter race have access to community resources to combat mental illness, physical health symptoms and substance abuse. We want to ensure the basic needs of shelter, food, clothing and healthcare are being met.
Meet the Owner
Darren Duncan Jr.
Darren is a Sacramento native with over 20 years of sports and recreation experience, both personal and professional. Darren has a passion for sports/recreation, health, and thriving beyond statistics. FT Fit Therapy was developed with the young boy in mind who did not have a stable family upbringing or family support to participate in sports and recreation, lacked basic equipment, and finances being a hinderance to participate. "I want to create a program for children who desire to be active in organized programs where finances are not a burden on the family."
FT Fit Kids recognizes that the rising cost of youth sports leagues, classes and other organized recreational activities left some families behind. Through donations, grant funds, and partnership, FT Fit Kids hos field days for schools, community centers and organizations and provide activity stipends to families who lack the resources to pay for these activities. Stipends are available to qualifying families with children in grades K-12 on a need and first-come, first served basis as funds are available. Individual sitpends can be used for uniforms, equipment, and registration fees for sports classes, recreational leagues, and other organized activities.
